Here’s everything that you can order with your Vivint security system
Unlike rival security companies, Vivint’s smart home offerings are available to renters. Look at some of the more popular components and services:
Burglary detection
Motion alarms and glass break sensors can warn you when an uninvited intruder comes into your rental unit. Receive a text to your phone when an sensor triggers, or arm and disarm your alarms and cameras remotely and let in guests or maintenance when you’re at work.
Fire and safety detectors
Ordinary smoke detectors should come standard with your apartment or rental home, but not other environmental sensors. Place a wireless carbon monoxide alarm or flood sensor to warn you and the monitoring agents to danger before it’s too late.
Indoor or doorbell cameras
HD security cameras may be wirelessly put up so you can keep an eye on certain rooms. A doorbell camera gives you the option to see -- and talk to -- whoever is at the door. Get live HD feeds and alerts about lurkers through the Vivint App.
24/7 monitoring
A great benefit of going with Vivint is the monitoring team backing up your alarms. When a component triggers, your monitoring team immediately contacts you to ensure you’re secure. Then they’ll turn around and phone the proper emergency personnel.
Smart home components
Automation items, such as smart lights, can be added to make your rental home or apartment more eco-friendly. Some components like a replacement smart thermostat or smart locks may need prior landlord approval.
The Vivint App
Your Champaign security system can be adjusted anywhere by using the Vivint App. Watch real-time camera feeds, remotely arm and disarm components, or set times for alarms and lights. Then receive notifications to your mobile device if an alarm trips or a camera picks up unsavory activity.
